Emirates to offer cheap flights during Ramadan

People may be able to find cheap flights to Dubai offered by Emirates over the coming month as a result of a new promotion.

The airline revealed that it is offering up to a 20 per cent reduction on travel between 32 destinations across the world.

Khalid bel Jaflah, vice president commercial UAE at Emirates, highlighted how important it is for families to be together during Ramadan.

Sydney Boat Show just around the corner

Boating enthusiasts who have taken cheap flights to Sydney have a treat in store for them if they head down to the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre and Cockle Bay Marina at the end of the month.

The Sydney Boat Show runs from July 28th to August 1st and offers people the chance to view a huge range of stunning vessels.

Nando's Comedy Festival to make Johannesburg return

Lovers of stand-up may be eager to book cheap flights to Johannesburg to attend the city's Nando's Comedy Festival.

Some of the world's top comics are set to appear at the event, including Mark Eddie, Michael Loftus and Mark Curry, best known for his role in hit children's TV show Hangin' With Mr Cooper.

Among the other acts on the bill are Theo Von and Ndumiso Lindi, widely regarded as one of the top black comedians in South Africa thanks to his honest portrayal of everyday life.

The event, which is heading to Johannesburg for the fourth time, is scheduled to run from July 22nd to 31st. Shows will take place at 20:00 local time every evening, apart from the final two nights when proceedings will kick off at 18:00.

Brisbane 'to become Australia's rugby union heartland'

Rugby fans may be tempted to book flights to Brisbane over the coming months and years thanks to a major new agreement between the Australian Rugby Union and the Queensland government.

Under the ten-year deal, the state will become the country's "heartland" for international rugby union, with numerous high-profile games set to take place at Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium.

The venue will stage a Bledisloe Cup Test between the Wallabies and New Zealand every time the three-game campaign takes place in Australia, as well as the opening match of every series against a northern hemisphere team.

Reds and Crusaders to meet in Brisbane for Super Rugby Final

Rugby union fans who have booked flights to Brisbane may be eager to head to Suncorp Stadium for the showpiece match of the Super Rugby season.

Local favourites Queensland Reds will face off against the Crusaders at the venue on Saturday night (July 9th) after recording a 30-13 victory over the Blues last weekend.

A hat-trick from winger Rod Davies helped the Reds seal the historic win, which bagged them a place in the final for the first time since rugby turned professional following semi-final exits in 1996, 1999 and 2001.
