Increase in flights to Dubai planned

It is expected that the 2011 winter flight season at Mumbai airport will see an increase in direct flights to Delhi.

DNA reports that the recent repairs to Mumbai domestic airport's runway led to a decrease in flight services. However, many airlines are predicting once the work has been completed they will increase the number of flights offered to meet the rise in demand from travellers.

An official from Kingfisher Airlines explained that one of the two runways at Mumbai was out of action which led to a reduction in the carrier's service over recent months.
